WHAT BRINGS US HERE
Harvesting in Paris is something unusual and extraordinary!
In fact, few people know, but only a few kilometres from Paris, you can experience a fun, sustainable and special experience for adults and children: the harvest of fruits, flowers and vegetables of the season. On a mini farm, handcrafted products, small animals and a lot of nature.
A walk, different to unite the family in a beautiful, natural, educational and original setting.

 

WHAT WILL HAPPEN
The idea is to wake up, put on a comfortable outfit and go on an adventure just 30 minutes from Paris.
After a brief explanation about the ingredients of the season it’s time to get your hands on the ground, get in touch with nature, understand how it develops, its seasonality and harvest, what the season offers us! And they can be: strawberries, asparagus, beets, blueberries, carrots, cucumbers, courgettes, spinach, turnips, onions, peas, potatoes, radishes, salads, tomatoes, raspberries, currants, rhubarb, apples, pears?

It was the Romans who contributed most to the widespread implementation of apple cultivation in France and much of Europe. In the conquered lands, they planted about thirty different varieties of apples. Ten centuries later, about twenty other types will be listed by the famous agronomist Olivier de Serres. These apples have evolved over the centuries, categorized by their flavor, strength, yield, etc., they have been widely studied, crossed and perfected. Even so, the most fragile varieties have not disappeared and remain cultivated and consumed locally. Their great capacity for climatic adaptation, and therefore the fact that they can be produced all year round, makes apple the fruit most consumed by the French.
