WE ARE GOING HERE ?

did you know ?

“The Romans were the ones who contributed most to the widespread implementation of apple cultivation in France and much of Europe. In the conquered lands, they planted about thirty different varieties of apples. Ten centuries later, about twenty other types will be listed by the famous agronomist Olivier de Serres. These apples evolved over the centuries, categorized by their taste, strength, yield, and they were extensively studied, crossed, and improved. Yet, the more fragile varieties did not disappear and remain cultivated and consumed locally. Their great capacity for climatic adaptation, and therefore the attribute of being produced all year round, makes the apple the most consumed fruit by the French.”
