WHAT BRINGS US HERE
Brittany is the region that lies in the extreme west of France and has more than 1,000 km of coastline! No wonder its food and gastronomy is based mostly on fresh and quality seafood. The seafood of Brittany is among the best known, most delicious and awarded in the world!
But if that was not enough, Brittany is also famous for its renowned butter, and its Celtic sweets. Among their best-known specialties are the delicious Crêpes, their salted butter Caramel, Kouign Amann and Far Breton – which depict the strong importance of folklore and traditions in this lively French region.
Mont Saint-Michel, a small medieval town right on the border of Normandy with Brittany is one of those fascinating places that has become the desire of many aficionados for beautiful travels. Whether it is for the beautiful Abbey that occupies the top of the mount or for the incredible phenomenon of the tide, Saint Michael’s Mount is a unique and must-see attraction.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN
This region is undoubtedly one of the most gastronomic in France full of wonderful cities and places to be unveiled. It is not necessary to travel all over the region to find a wide variety of natural beauties and exceptional products from Brittany.
In this trip we will set base at a strategic spot in the region and will let ourselves be guided by the stunning landscapes and the local gastronomy. Our itinerary includes, for example, the historical and unforgettable Saint Malo, the beautiful Cancale and its oysters market, the fortified town of Dinan as well as other small villages around this area.
We will discover the exceptional Bay of Mont Saint-Michel, visit oyster farms, eat sweets and homemade biscuits, we will taste local cider and distillates and we will eat in restaurants with menus elaborated with 100% local products which respect the season.
This is one of those destinations where the more we stay, the more things we have to find out.

di you know ?

Why is Breton butter salted? In the past, salt was something very expensive, used almost exclusively for preserving food. In 1343, King Philip VI introduced the Gabelle, a tax on salt that would last more than 400 years. At that time, Brittany was not yet annexed to France and was independent, therefore not impacted by this tax. Due to this tax exemption, the consumption of salted butter, which until then was equated with unsalted butter, flourished on Breton tables. And since then, it has been one of the symbols of its cuisine. A region that unites unique gastronomy, culture, and landscapes in the world. An unforgettable journey in the land of the crepe and butter, where the best seafood in France is eaten.
