Nodaiwa

Opened in 1996, this Japanese restaurant is the branch of the famous Nodaiwa restaurant, founded in Tokyo at the end of the Edo period (1603-1867) and run by the same family for five generations. Here the specialty is an amazing and excellent dish: the unagi, the grilled eel. This famous ancestral recipe is one of the innumerable hidden faces of traditional Japanese cuisine and only experienced cooks know how to enhance the taste of the eel. And what a taste!

Among the crowd of Japanese restaurants on rue Saint Anne, we chose Bizan. The decor is very refined and relaxing. The tasting menus make us discover a large variety dishes specializing in the local cuisine from the area which bears the name of the restaurant.

Kinugawa

The concept of this Japanese restaurant is to show a new way of tasting Japanese cuisine. The different rooms are planned to be shared, in a spirit of conviviality. Tuna and salmon are the kings of cold starters. The ideal is to settle on the first floor where we can watch the dishes being prepared in front of us.

Matsuhisa

Among the Japanese culinary experiences available in Paris, Matsuhisa stands out. The exquisite cuisine is led by chef Hideki Endo, highly praised by the French press. No wonder, Matsuhisa makes a mix between Asia and Latin America which impossible to resist. The foie gras finds its perfect wedding with ravioli and truffles deeply perfuming the algae tacos: top notch!

Totally built in wood, this Japanese restaurant is a real find. The Japanese cuisine consisting solely of season ingredients is pleasantly presented on our plates. The menu is short but everything is very good!

Izakaya Issé

This was the first house specialized in sake of Paris. Here, the idea is to share Japanese food, with a glass of sake, between 12 and 16 degrees. In the subsoil, where you have to remove your shoes to fit comfortably on the mats, rice bowls covered with duck, pork or eel, can be savored before the indispensable sesame ice cream, all very well accompanied by an excellent sake.

Ippudo

Welcome to the temple of ramen. Everything is made in house: the noodles, the steaming broths, the side dishes. The ramen is wonderfully perfumed and has a deep and long lasting taste. At lunch, do not be discouraged by the queue on the door, or try to go at alternative times: as soon as it opens at 12PM or at the end of the afternoon around 3PM (it closes at 4PM and reopens at 6PM).

Gyoza Bar

The Gyoza Bar is located at the passage of the Panoramas, a place that undoubtedly deserves a visit. The place has few tables and the price is very affordable, which gives a very friendly neighborhood canteen look.
